How long a gamer can last throughout the night depends on what kind of snacks they eat. Sadly, something high in sugar and protein is needed to keep a gamer going.
The snack and drink that the gamer picks will determine how long they stay up to get through the game for the amount of time they want to play. It could also mean the difference between upsetting your teammates because you suck so bad, or rising through the fire, victorious! You don't want your stomach and energy to get between you and your game, so don't let it!
Prepare! Get a good snack and drink and bunker down, soldier!
The drink that the gamer chooses is very important.
Caffeine is a gamer's friend because it will keep them going throughout the night, especially if they want to get to the final boss or beat their highest score.
Soda, preferably not diet or no caffeine because they don't have as much caffeine in them, is one of the options a gamer can pick. Other gamers go towards RedBull or Monster, which can be deadly because those two are energy drinks. Yes, they will keep you up...
if you don't wish to sleep at all after you're done playing. The benefit of soda is that the caffeine high definitely goes away faster than a RedBull or Monster, but that's also a disadvantage because you'll need more than just one to keep you awake.
The disadvantage to all of these though, is that you will definitely pee a lot. So, you better learn how to pee quick, or drink water. If you drink water, what you snack on is very important.
However if you drink water (and just water) while you game, I don't know whether to hate you or be scared of you. I mean it's ok to have a bottle next to you to even out the caffeine, but just water? Jeesh.
If you decide to drink water, what you eat could determine whether or not you pass out in the middle of your game. This will also keep the munchies subsided while you game. While you game, you don't want a meal because it'll get cold or go bad. It also has to be easy to eat, and a meal typicalaly isn't
easy to eat while you game. That means no pizza, no ice cream (because it melts), no pasta. A sandwich is okay depending on whats on it. If it's a sandwich with meat or tomatoes, you might as well just eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Be mindful though the mess that the food can make, so don't overload your sandwich.
Your best bet is to just grab a bag of Doritos, or any chip of your preferance. Don't worry about cheese fingers; it doesn't affect your gaming. It will leave cheese on your equipment, but that's easy to clean up. If you're a healthy gamer, carrots or some sort of finger veggies/fruits are find. Again, be mindful of mess. Nothing with too
much water. Dips can be your friend if they don't get watery.
I prefer snacking on Cheez-Its or Ruffles when I game. Yes, the munching can get annoying to other people, but that's when I just mute my microphone
Also if you're a healthy gamer, props to you!
For those that don't get the gif, it's from a movie called 'Mean Girls'.
