Today's Topic: How To Get Your Game On

So You Wanna Get Your Game On...

Being a nerd means I like quite a few nerdy things: anime, Dungeons and Dragons, general nerdy things, and most importantly: video games! Gaming can be quite fun, but in order to have an optimal level of fun, some things are needed. If you don't get the correct items to start having fun, your gaming experience may lack in some areas; thus, it's best to get the best of everything to get the best out of your gaming! So today, I am going to tell you how to maximize your gaming experience, with just four simple steps!

First, let's have a little background on video games!
The first video game came out in 1958, created by physicist William Higen...Hogan..One second.

Higinbotham. William Higinbotham. Don't ask me to pronounce his last name.

Anyway, this dude supposedly created the first video game called 'Tennis for Two'. It is said to have been a super simple tennis game, similar to the 1970s game 'Pong'. The game was very simple and was a hit amongst visitors, and was nothing like games we have now-a-days. Players had to keep their own scores and turn knobs and hit buttons to make sure they hit the ball in time, but not with a controller it seems like..but on the television. It took Higinbotham only a few hours to come up with the name, and only a few days to actually put the game into motion. Higinbotham apparently had no trouble making the display for the game. After two years, Tennis for Two was retired, and the components used to make the game was used for other projects.

In order to get your game on like any other nerd gamers, you first need to get a few things:

1. Some equipment
2. Some snacky foods
3. Comfortable clothing
4. A game you'd like to play!
